Asian dating EU Citizen Work in UK, What is our best option?

Hi,

First of all, sorry if this has been asked somewhere else, I am Indonesian and in relationship with slovakian guy who worked in UK. We are not young and slowly considering what is our next move, although we didn't fixed any marriage plan but maybe we should see what are we going to face if we keep moving forward, and I read too many thread about visa refusal and overwhelmed and not even sure what step should we do.

He is currently under EEA status, and thinking if he should take his permanent residency, but we see two options, Spouse Visa and EEA Family permit, what would be the best option? I'm freelancer but he have fixed job and meet the financial requirement.

I would really appreciate any opinion you can share with us, either marriage first - then apply for EEA Family permit, or let him apply his permanent residency ( He worked there for 5 years now ) then we apply fiancee visa, since we are in early stage it's better to evaluate any option.

Any asian woman like my case? Would love to hear your experience as well.
