Reckonable residence for Irish Citizenship

Post by richardandrews123 » Sun Apr 01, 2018 1:37 pm

Hi All,

I am from India, living in Ireland for last 2 years. I run a business in Ireland on a Stamp 4 Visa. I am now thinking spend 6 months + in Ireland in an year and about 5+ months in India. So, I was wondering if I would still be eligible for citizensip and my "Tax residency" in Ireland for more than 6 months will be considered like full year while counting days?

Does reckonable residence exclude absence from the state for continuous long periods? Or as long as I continue to maintain tax residency it does not matter?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thank You
Ankur
