Tax query for Naturalization

Post by kumar361361 » Sun Apr 01, 2018 1:49 pm

Hi All,

I came UK in Oct 2002
I got TIER 1 General in May 2010
I got ILR in Feb 2013

During TIER 1 General application to home office (For the financial year 2009/10), I have specified my annual salary of 26k (14k XXX + 8k YYY + 4k self employment), but in Self Assessment (For the financial year 2009/10) I missed XXX salary to specify (i,e. Self Assessment done only for 12k (8k YYY + 4k self employment)).

I got ILR in Feb 2013 without any problem.

But I realised I have missed XXX salary to specify during 2009/10 self Assessment, I have contacted my accountant in Jan 2013 and redone my self assessment for full 26k (For the financial year 2009/10) and paid the excess tax with penalty in Mar 2013.

I am thinking to apply Naturalization next month, will it be any problem as I missed/paid XXX tax 2 years late? or can I apply for Naturalization as I already paid all my dues?

Many thanks in advance.

Please avoid mentioning personal details such as employer/client details.

If you have complied with all arrangements you have/had with HMRC then there is no issue with your AN application.

Expired CCJ on AN application

Post by kumar361361 » Mon Apr 02, 2018 6:33 pm

Hi All,

I got ILR in Feb 2013 and I am planning to apply AN next month.

I got County Court Judgement (CCJ) in 2010 for missed payment. I have contacted court and paid the due in 2012 and also got the satisfaction letter from court.

The CCJ was NOT showing on my records since 2016 (CCJ was only showing on my record during the period of 2010 - 2016).

As of point 3.4 on Application form (Give details for each civil judgement or any civil penalty under the UK immigration acts, starting with the most recent one)

Do I need to specify CCJ or I dont have to? as its already gone from my record now.
(Fyi: I have specified about CCJ during my ILR application in 2013)

Many thanks in Advance.

English Qualification

Post by pkuk54321 » Sat Apr 21, 2018 9:38 pm

Hi,

I came to UK in 2002
I got TIER 1 General in May 2010
I got ILR in Feb 2013 (Based on 10 years Long residence stay)

During Tier 1 Application in 2010, I have satisfied the English Requirement with ‘an original degree certificate that was taught or researched in a non-majority English speaking country’.

During ILR in 2013 (Based on 10 years Long residence stay), English requirement is NOT required for application for ILR on 10 years long residence stay. So I don’t have to Satisfy English Requirement during ILR application.

I have already done B1 Test (speaking and listening) in Jan 2018.

I am planning to apply AN this month, Can I satisfy English Requirement by using above B1 Test (speaking and listening) or should I have to use the same degree certificate that was used in 2010 for Tier 1 Application.

Many Thanks in Advance.

You can use any. The degree does not expire so, you did not need to take the B1 test.
