Re-applying the spouse visa

Post by Indianspouse » Sat Apr 14, 2018 9:55 am

Hi there,

I have been trying to understand the application process for reapplying the spouse visa to the uk but failed to find a forum that would answer my query. I have been denied the spouse visa lately and so me and the husband(he is a british citizen)have decided to put a new application in few months. We are expecting our child to arrive soon as I am 5 months pregnant. Just wanted to know if i reapply for the visa after the child arrives., is it going to be one single application for both me and our child. Or there would be 2 different applications with two different fees to pay? Am i supposed to include my child in the same application???

What would be the estimated fee for this new application???

Thank you.

2 separate application with separate fees.

Unless the child meets the requirement of being born British or registered British first. In that case no need to apply for visa as child will already be a british.

We are in the same boat and were thinking of applying for a visit visa or a spouse visa and including the baby in application but we found out we CANNOT apply for ANY visa. As Londoner007 said, child will be British by birth. So i think You will only pay for your application and IHS surcharge. You only need to meet £18600 requirements for finances.
And Because the child is British you wont pay child's IHS surcharge, Is this right Londoner007 ???
