Can TIER 2 holder work as a locum?

Hi,

Just wanted to know if I can get tier 2 if I wanted to work as a locum for Boots Opticians/Specsavers or does it have to be only one sponsor (i e one particular store)?

You will need to be sponsored by one company as a full-time staff and then work as a locum for the second company. You can only do a maximum of 20 weeks as a locum while on Tier 2 visa sponsored by another company and must be in the same field/ occupation.
I'm not sure you can get a Tier 2 visa as a locum because of the minimum salary requirement, except you earn enough money from the locum job and you have a fixed -term or permanent contract.
