Citizenship process by post

Hi all I really appreciate you all for how useful is this site I got loads of info through reading most citizenship threads.

My quarry is
I filled the my citizenship application with private solicitor and sent it with all my documents by post on the 27/3/2018 until now I heard nothing
I sent it as signed next day and got the confirmation from post but still didn’t get any email form HO .
Do I have to call the HO or is that a normal thing

Not normal, but they won't act if not after 28 days.

Not normal, but they won't act if not after 28 days.

My solicitor also posted application on 27/03 and i only received acknowledgement email on 12th April and payment debited on 13/04. However, I had only received email confirmation on my husband's email address for him. I have still not received confirmation for myself. We had applied for me, my husband and our son. My solicitor gave correspondence address as his address and we have only received confirmation for my husband by email. so hopefully my solicitor will receive something in post this week. The fee was debited for all 3 of us.
