Tier 2 Child

Post by dganta80 » Fri Apr 27, 2018 8:46 pm

I am applying for Tier 2 (general) Child visa for my child born in India 2 months back, I came to UK 2 years back, now in the application they are asking CoS, though I have the COs number it expired in April 2016 and I entered UK in March 2016, so should I say yes that I have the CoS number and mention the CoS number or should I say no to it. Confused about this one

They are asking for CoS on which you got your visa, so yes give that cos number. They can then figure out your sponsor, etc. details.

In the application they will also ask for your BRP number, visa expiry dates and on that basis your child will get visa (same as your visa expiry date).
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Are you in country still with your initial cos or have you extended in the meanwhile ?
if your current leave is based on your initial COS, assuming your leave hasn't expired yet, you should be using your Initial leave- COS number.
If you have extended, you should use your latest COS number.
