Switch from Tier 2 ICT Long Term to Tier 4 Student visa

Post by Sarah_Sh » Fri May 11, 2018 8:08 am

Hi there,
My Tier 2 ICT long term visa will expire in 2019 and I decided to switch to Tier 4 Student visa. The course will start in September 2018.
Can I continue working after sending the documents required for Tier 4 visa to Home Office? Will a new BRP issued based on student visa cancel the existing BRP, i.e. I will not be able to work after receiving new BRP?
Regards,
Sarah

Yes. You have what is called "3C leave" until the outcome of your application.

That depends on your Tier 4 work conditions. See https://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information-- ... n-you-work

sah10406, many thanks for response. I thought that my current visa would still be ok until a new visa would start. E.g. I will apply on 15/07/2018, Home Office will respond on 15/08/2018 where issuing a new BRP where start date will be 15/09/2018 close to the beginning of the course.

Will check working conditions/terms with uni.

Your work conditions are printed on your BRP.

Hi Sarah,
Will it be an In country application?
