H-1B Cap Reached for FY 2009
April 08, 2008

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that it has received enough H-1B petitions to meet the congressionally mandated cap for fiscal year 2009. The USCIS has also received more than 20,000 H-1B petitions filed on behalf of persons exempt from the cap under the “advanced degreeâ€

Sorry, it happened because I sought the Admin understood Russian. Actually, I did this automatically. No more such a thing.

Not a word. ;-)

But, I do work with quite a number of people who are native-speakers.

These forums are intended to be in English & supported in English. The occasional use of other languages is not a serious problem, so long as the conversations are polite and don't otherwise violate rules here and laws.

We don't have the resources to support a multiple-language forum at this time, so we'd appreciate it if folks respect that and keep it to a low-level activity for special occasions.

Ok, wait... does this mean that there are no new H1B visa apps being accepted until after 2009?? and is the H1B visa done by lottery or randome selection? ie, you won't be processed based on when you apply?

Is the cap waived for doctors?
