infertility treatment on UK spouse visa is not free

Post by ana ali » Tue Jun 26, 2018 9:25 pm

Can you please tell me?
Am I entitled to take free fertility treatment on NHS? Or do I need to go Private?
Hospital refused to treat because I am on spouse visa and husband is on ILR.

What options do we have to get free treatment?

Not an immigration issue.

Many British citizen couples are not entitled either. It is wholly up to the NHS trust and CCG who qualifies due to the high costs involved (and failurerates). There are many trusts that limit who can get it for free. IVF unfortunately is not wholly part of the 'Free NHS' that most migrants are entitled to.

Your best option is to go private or have it done in Pakistan, which I understand from previous posts is your home country.

Hello!
And you did not consider the possibility of IVF in another country?
It seems to me that if you go to an weblink removed by moderator in Eastern Europe, it will cost you much less than you think.
In addition, for example, Ukraine does not need a visa for foreigners at all. This is much easier than doing a bunch of permits and immigration documents. In addition, there is a fairly loyal legislative system, often in private clinics, there are lawyers who advise foreigners.
Good luck to you!
