RCOS points vs TIER 2 VISA points

Post by Physio7 » Mon Aug 13, 2018 2:51 pm

Hi all,

I am awaiting RCOS approval (3rd time application). My salary is £29k (NHS - physio, non-sol, non milkround). So I think I am at 29 pts. Although we are hoping points for RCOS will drop this month, and say I do get RCOS approved, will I not just get rejected for TIER 2 VISA as my salary is not £30k?

Or is there any special criteria for NHS pay bands?

If all the above is true- why do they allow applications below £30k (except new entrants) at all if it means they will anyway not get a VISA?

Hope someone can clarify! Thank you :)

There is a separate salary banding in Table 9 of the Appendix J for NHS workers.

Thank you! So the £30k rule for TIER 2 Visa is not applicable then?

You have just made my day.
