Tier 2 General - Dependent - Require a new visa for each job change of the main applicant?

Post by abarun22 » Tue Aug 14, 2018 8:11 pm

Hello,
Currently i am holding a Tier 2 General visa and it is valid until June 2019. I am currently in the process of securing visa for my dependents in India and hope to get it soon. Meanwhile i got a new job offer and received the sponsorship (for 2 years) recently and at present preparing to apply for my new Tier 2 visa. However considering the fact that my family also receive their visa based on my first company, what would be the implications that arise from my change of job? Can they continue with their previous visa (atleast for the first year) or should i go for a fresh one based on my new job? I guess strictly speaking, a change of job would only affect the residence status of main applicant and not the dependents. Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
Arun
