ILR old passport + Schengen visa problem

I have been told by a friend that if you have your ILR stamping on your old passport then French embassy denies schengen visa to be issued on the new passport (one without ILR stamping).

I have not transferred my stamping and carry both my passports while travelling.

Can one of you please confirm this.
