WP to Tier1(switching)- May applicants post here please....

Guys,

I am starting this thread for WP-Tier1(switching) for the May 2008 applicants within UK..

I am planning to make the application by may 8th. I have called the HO and found that its enough to submit the following docs.

a) Passprot
b) HSMP approval letter
c) Bank statement for last 1 month before application showing funds of £800
d) Application form
e) fees £350
f) the payslips are not required mandatorily.

Can someone confirm the above docs and also help in the following,

1) what are the sections taht i need to fill in the application, can someone give the page numbers or section names for WP to Tier 1 (switching) applicant?
2) What payment option is better, cheque or postal order?..can someone tel what should be the payee name on the cheque?

Experts please guide me if am missing something here.

I have come across a more active topic related to Tier 1 visa. I guess you might be able to get more views as the topic is being viewed by many more applicants (many successful applicants as well)... I am not sure whether there is a need for a separate topic, but anyway it is individual's choice and preference.

1. The docs you would attach are okay
2. you need to fill page 1 to 16. Then go directly to section "Z".
3. Better , pay by cheque.

I would like to say on point 3 that If you pay by Card(Prefrebly UK Credit/Debit Card) it will be better as you can track it and faster also.
Cheque payments take more time to clear.

reg. payment iam nt convinced with cheque either due to delay in processing. hence want to look for card or Postal order..

will kep asking more queries as soon as i fill the application.. thanks in advance..

have some queries from the aplication form,

a) In Pg 10 of the tier 1 form, there is a query for "Visa number". if i see the WP stamp on the passport it has 2 different numbers. one on top right side corner of the stamp(9 digits) and another one next to VAF no - XXXXXX(6 digits)..which number should we enter?

b) In Section Z(maintenance funds),
Personal bank or building society statements covering
a 3 month period - Can i tick this even if i submit only one month bank statment?

c) Is the home office number asked in the application is as same as the HSMP ref number?

can someone help me in these please?
