Hello Everyone,
I will be applying for my wife visa from UK. We have just got married few weeks ago and I was wondering if it is required to change the name on passport and CNIC after marriage?
Thank you.

Not required.
If applying from Pakistan you need to provide nikkah nama with translation, Nadra issued marriage certificate along with your evidence of subsisting relationship.
Biometrics Karachi 04/08/17
Decision received 11/10 (Visa refused on subsisting relationship)
Acknowledgment 18/12/17
Deadline 02/04/18
Decision withdrawn 26/02/18
Decision overturned 29/03/18
PP submitted 3/4/18
Visa granted 9/4/18

Hi thanks for replying.
I got Marriage registration certificate from NADRA. I will do Urdu to English translation of the Nikah nama. Also I will provide wedding card, wedding pictures and chat screenshots as a proof of our marriage. Would that be enough for them to verify our relationship?

It depends on duration of your relationship/marriage. Also try including
Money transfer receipts
Gifts / cards / parcels exchange evidence
After wedding pictures
Calls screenshots

Thank you.
It's been only a week we have got married and I will be applying for her in next 15-20 days. Do I still need to provide them proof of money transfer as she in full time employment?
Also can I print after wedding pictures on A4 size paper?
Thank you.

If it is an arranged marriage then most probably you won't have much pre-wedding subsisting relationship evidences. In this situation try to clearly hightlight that fact either in covering letter/additional info section. Moreover, try to include as much as possible the subsisting relationship evidences before marriage if you have. Also include your passport entry & exist stamps.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Hello Everyone,
I am a British Citizen and will be applying for my wife spouse visa in 2 weeks time. I have few queries if someone can answer please:
1. Do I have to send the certified and true copy of my passport if I don't send the original one?
2. My Nikah Nama in Urdu and its true translation in English is on A3 size paper. Do I just send the copy of them which is on A4 size paper.
3. I have my council tax statement and bank statements as my proof of address, would that be enough?
Regards,

1. You do not need to send your original British passport. Copies are sufficient.
2. You need to submit the originals.
3. What about tenancy agreement or title deeds etc?

Hi, Thank for the reply.
Do I send the certified copy of my passport from Notary or it is not needed?
I have got the tenancy agreement and No Objection Letter from the Landlord.
So I submit the originals even they are A3 paper size?

If you want to send a certified copy, cheaper to do at the Post Office.
You must send original translation document. Send an A4 copy as well if you must.

Hello everyone,
My wife has given IELTS A1 life skills test for spouse visa and passed. The details on the certificate is copied from her previous passport before marriage which was incorrect.
On her previous passport, the first name (given name) was blank and her first name was written on surname and same was then printed on IELTS certificate.
We have made a new passport with correct name and details but on the certificate details remain the same i.e first name is blank.
She cannot appear on IELTS again and they can't correct the details on the certificate.
Someone please suggest if I have to explain and provide any additional documentation to support my application?

I think your wife should explain and enclose her previous passports. Else, they may think that different people are involved.

I need some guidance in completing Appendix 2 form. I was completing Part 3A on the form where i ticked YES to 3.12 which bring me to 3.21 which i also tick YES but I don't understand question 3.22. Someone here please help?
3.22 If your sponsor has not been employed by the same employer for 6 months prior to the
application does their total income (before tax) from salaried employment received in the
12 months prior to your application meet or exceed the financial requirement you must meet?
