Minimum gross salary for Tier 2 (General)

Hi everyone,

I am a bit confused about the minimum salary. The Rule on the link (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... illed-work) provides the following-

"The current minimum gross salary that a Tier 2 (General) migrant must receive is £30,000 per year or the appropriate rate of pay for the job as stated in the codes of practice,- whichever is higher."

The minimum salary for the job code is 24700£ per annum. Does it mean the minimum salary has to be £30,000 per annum? When this 30k £ figure came into force?

The salary mentioned 24k is if you are switching from tier 4 to 2 and if u r below 26. If you are applying from outside UK and above 28 it should be above 30k.
