Got EC in home country

Post by try-one » Wed Dec 29, 2004 10:18 pm

Hi,
Many of you might recall that I was asking about the possibility of getting the EC in the respective home country instead of the FLR. So, It took me one day to get the EC until jan 2006 instead of waiting 2 months without passport. I just borught my approval letter and all the docs sent to HO for the HSMP.
now i have the EC HSMP visa.

Did not realise you could get FLR from overseas

well, in theory you should NOT be able to do it - but hey, you took the risk and it paid off....

...the whole programme is in its infancy years that is why we are seeing EC being granted on HSP for 6 months and in some cases 2 years

Good luck for the future :)

It is possibly early days but if you were previously in the UK in a category leading to settlement then you MAY have set back your ILR clock
