HSMP is what Tier 1 used to be called before November 2006.

HSMP still gets used a lot as some people are still on HSMP visas which had slightly different criteria to the newer Tier 1.

You can apply for either Tier 1 (India, UK) or HSMP (rest of the world as of now).

You don't have the option to make a choice between the two !!

If you are really serious about applying for HSMP/Tier 1. Tier 1 if you are in India then I would think the amount involved (£750) and more importantly the effect this will have on the rest of your life should prompt you to be a little more serious>

As said above download the forms and STUDY them
And then start asking questions
Trust me you cant afford to make mistakes
