I’m due to apply for ILR. Can I skip applying for ILR for my child?

Post by rr17kky » Tue Aug 14, 2018 2:59 pm

Dear All,
Mine ,My Mrs and my child (UK born) visa(tier 2 gen. and tier 2 dependent) is expiring on 30th dec 2018.
Our Ilr is due to apply after 2nd dec 2018.
Looking at the heavy visa fee can someone suggest if its possible without any issues to ONLY apply my and my Mrs ILR and skip childs ILR at his time and can we apply for childs BC directly as soon we get ILR ?

Secondly,my childs indian passport is about to expire in Sep 2018, do we need to renew it before ILR or BC?
we do not have any travel plans at the moment.

your answers ans suggestions would be much appreciated.
thank you
Jagjit

You can skip childs ILR as this is NOT required to register a UK born child as British.

No need to renew passport.

ILR FOR TIER 2 GEN MAIN APPLICANT AND DEPENDENT

Post by rr17kky » Tue Oct 09, 2018 5:32 pm

Dear All,
-My wife is on TIER 2 GEN.VISA, 1st issue date (20-11-2013 TO 30-12-2016) 3 years ,then extended for 2 years(4-1-2017 TO 30-12-2018),
-I am on tier 2 dependent , 1st issue (20-11-2013 Till 30-12-2016),then extended for 2 years (4-1-2018 till 30-12-2018).
-We have one child 5 years old on tier 2 dependent visa , issued (4-1-17 till 30-12-18)

we would like to apply for ILR , would you be kind to answer some below questions.

1- is that correct that my wife can apply for ILR on 23/10/18? based on 28 days early option?if no please advise earliest applying date.
2. we just have 1 month bank statement with good balance (from 12th sep,18), would that be sufficient to submit as we have balance in minus if 3 month statement is required.?
3 supporting docs we have are 5 year p 60, last one year payslips( online printout as we get payslips emails), PASSPORT, UK DEGREE,life in UK test, letter form employer, old brp, 1 month bank statement, visa forms , Employer letter stating salary, SOC code, services still req. please suggest if anything else is required?

3. if I as tier 2 dependent apply for ILR when will my 5 year period complete ,is it ?

4.can i also apply 28 days before(same time with my wife) and DO I HAVE TO SHOW FUNDS?

5-if i apply separate after my wife apply ILR first, do i have to show funds, as above if 3 month statement would be ref. i can only apply after 12/12/18?
6- please can you suggest supporting docs require for ILr application for TIER 2 dependent? (i have done life in uk and BI level English test, merrage cert. and 2 year Proof of cohabitation

7-if my wife apply for ilr earlier then me, can our child apply for British citizenship after my wife gets ilr or does it require both parent to have ILR?

sorry for the long thread, i thought it would be easy for all to understand if we break into points.

thanks in advance.

1. Anytime within 28 days before 5th anniversary of visa issue date for both of you.

2. There is no 90 day maintenance fund requirement for ILR.

3. You only need wife's last 1 to 3 months payslips and bank statements. If you also apply, you need 2 year proof of cohabitation.

3.? Same as wife.

4. Yes!! No!!

5. You can apply any time after 23 October. No funds required.

6. Fine.

7. Yes, already answered when asked before. Topics merged.
