Urgent please help!!!

Hi,

My mother in Law is a widow age 56+, living in her home country.
She got 3 sons and a daughter and non of them are living in her home country.

one of her son got british citizenship and another has non EEA family permit (i'm a french national settled in Uk holding resident permit).

i would like to know either me or my brother in law (who is a british citizen) can take her to UK on settlement visa or EEA family permit.
which way is easy???

To get a UK settlement visa, I think your mother-in-law needs to satisfy the five requirements in immigration rule 317. In particuar:
317(i)(e) parent or grandparent under the age of 65 if living alone outside the United Kingdom in the most exceptional compassionate circumstances and mainly dependent financially on relatives settled in the United Kingdom; and
317(iii) is financially wholly or mainly dependent on the relative present and settled in the United Kingdom.

Can she apply for EEA family permit??
daughter in law is a EEA national..

This link explains the EEA family permit fairly well.

Mother in law is classed as a family member for the purposes of the permint. This is the cheapest ( free! ) way of bringing the MiL to the UK.
