Confirmation of received application from UKBA?

I recently submitted an application for Tier 2 General visa. I applied within the U.K. (changing employment) using priority service. However, I never received a notification saying that my application/documents were received, although Royal Mail confirms that they have been delivered.

It’s been more than a week now (applied online and mailed documents on 11 October). Was I supposed to receive a notification? What should I do if I don’t?
