Tier 2 to ILR (5 Years)

Post by aerobharath88 » Mon Oct 08, 2018 3:27 pm

hi All,

Now I have come to the eligibility period to apply for ILR. I have passed LIFE IN THE UK TEST in August 2018. Im in the process of filling SET(O) application online and i have a queries as stated below.

***Personal information
Since you first entered the UK, have you had any absences from the UK?***
- absence here means any holidays i have flown away from the UK or any particular period where i was not here for more than 180 days?

***Immigration details
Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?***
- I have mentioned YES and stated that i was born in India and raised there until i decided to come to the UK for higher education. Is this good enough? I have not LIVED in any other country.

Please can someone clarify this.

Many thanks.

thanks CR001.

Oops. Thats a task to complete. :p

***What was the reason for this time spent outside the UK and Crown Dependencies?
Provide reasons, including if you were travelling through, for each country you spent time in during this period of absence***
- do i need to mention Dubai if my flight to India had a transit at Dubai for 6 hours?

thanks.

I have now filled in all the trips i made outside of UK in the last 5 years.

There are options at the end as shown below. Im a bit confused. What do I show as evidence if i just went to India to see my family and friends. I have not been absent outside of UK for 180 days in any 12 months period. I have not gone anywhere as a business trip. What will the employer give me then? Kindly clarify.

***What evidence will you provide to support the reasons for all absences from the UK and Crown Dependencies? (Required)
You can select more than one option.

Letter(s) from employer(s) detailing reasons for work-related absences including periods of paid annual leave from the UK and Crown Dependencies

Letter from applicant detailing any exceptionally harsh consequences to them caused by the change in the way absences from the UK are counted

Original official documents: (e.g. medical, birth or death certificates)

Letter from travel companies to evidence disruption to travel

Other ***

It is assumed that you were on annual paid leave when you travel. So your sponsor will confirm your absences as paid annual leave. If there is any unpaid leave, they will also confirm that.

You will have to attached any absence after you submit online in a separate schedule and explain in a letter from you. The absence must be included in your employer letter though.

You should read the whole bit of advice again you were given.

Simply add a note to the online and supporting documents about the absence.

I never stated anywhere to use paper form etc.

hi CR001,

I have submitted my application yesterday choosing to use NEW SERVICE and booked for an appointment at Birmingham on 21/11/2018.

However, I just have a few Qs:

1. Evidence of Mr xxxx immigration status in the UK

2. Declaration signed by Mr xxxxxx to confirm consent for the Home Office to
request verification checks

What should i submit for these 2 documents from my checklist?

Please can you clarify this?

Many thanks

1. BRP card

2. Was there no consent form to download?? Note that not many have experience of the new system, I certainly don't and cannot see what applicants see online etc.
