Queries regarding earnings calculation

Post by cgohil » Wed May 21, 2008 11:19 am

Hi,

I am going to apply for my HSMP PBS 1 next month. I have queries to be clarified for my earnings.

I have resigned for my previous company in the month of Jan 2008.
I got full and final settlement letter as my salary slip. In that letter I got the leave encashment amount and that amount is added in my jan month full and final settelment letter.

So should I consider leave encashment amount for calculating my earnings.

I joined anoth company in the month of Feb. From that company I got two months notice buy out amount and that too has been shown in my salary slip.

So should I consider that notice buyout amount for calculating my earnings.

Please suggest.

I would think so as it is all taxed money by reason of your employment (be it - notice buy out or holiday encashment) - all good to be counted towards your Tier 1 salary requirement - I would assume......

Yes you should. The guidelines say - it needs to be the gross amount - and can include bonus etc.

Incidentally, I too included the leave encashment amount. Just that I got my EC last year but I would presume, there has been no change in the way the earnings are calculated.

You are suggesting to count that notice buy out amount and leave encashment amout for my earning calculation.
