Tier2 ICT to Tier2 General via Tier2 ICT Dependent

I am on Tier2 ICT visa. My wife is also on ICT Tier2 visa. If I switch to dependent visa (on my wife's visa) and take up employment with a new employer/sponsor, can the employer file for a Tier2 General for me? Would the 1 year cool-off period apply in this case?

You would need to wait for 1 year on PBS Dependent visa before you can apply for tier 2 general from home country.
