£18,600 FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS

Post by cutepearl » Mon Nov 26, 2018 10:31 pm

Just a quick guidance question really.

Is the financial requirement of 18600 for spouse ILR have to be met during all the 5 years from entry or can it drop to less than 18600 but has to be met for the preceding 6 months before ILR application?

Hi
No requirement of 5 years.
6 month before the application if the job is older then one year but if it is new job then need to show 12 months payslips before the application.

So if one works part time in a job and earn less than 18600 and then go full time for the last 6 months before application and has more than 9300 that should be fine with the same company?

One needs to have an equivalent annual salary of £18,600 at the time of application. This is usually shown by 6 months of payslips if with same employer for atleast 6 months and earning £18,600 salary. This is called applying via CAT A.

Or you apply via CAT B, to show that from all jobs in the past 12 months you have earned atleast £18,600 AND you currently also earn £18,600 (it means you dont need to wait 6 months on a new job).

You can also combine with savings above £16,000 to meet shortfall. Also you can combine salaries from both parties.

Thank you. This answers the questions under CAT A that only last 6 months is required if in the same job. Thanks
