help me in SET(M)

i got married to british girl in may 06, before i was in uk on student visa and valid till nov 06.
i applied for flr(m) in oct 06 and got spouse visa for 2yrs expire on oct 08
i passed my life in uk test in april 08.

my question is--

should i apply SET(M) now as it is more than 2 yrs of my marriage or

wait till i finish my 2 yrs visa given 0ct 06-oct08 and apply in sept 08

You need to make your application on form SET(M) within the 28 day period ending with the expiry date of the current 2-year spouse visa.

That is, the earliest date is 28 days before the expiry date, and the latest is the actual expiry date.
