Your wife and children will be issued with a limited leave to remain visa for 2.5 years, after which they will have to apply for a further 2.5 year extension before qualifying for settlement (ILR).

Do you earn a minimum of £24,800 p.a ?

The visa fees are currently £1,523 per applicant.

In addition to the visa fees you will also have to pay the NHS Surcharge of £600 each (expected to increase shortly to £1,200 each).

If things go as predicted, you may only have until the 18th December to submit the application before the NHS Surcharge increases.

Bear in mind that your wife needs A1 level English from an UKVI approved test provider, unless she has a degree taught in English which requires a NARIC ELA (Red Route).

Your wife also requires a TB certificate issued by a UKVI approved test centre.

Don't rush the application in order to beat the increase in costs as there are numerous documents which need to be submitted in order to avoid a costly refusal.

You need to provide evidence that you have suitable accommodation that is not overcrowded.

There is no "maintenance fund" requirement.

It is only your annual earning/salary that HO wants to see evidence of (employer letter, payslips, bank statements) for a minimum of 6 months, meeting the requirement. Different evidence requirements if you are self employed.

Thank you CR001! that makes sense.. Is there any other requirement to prove that you legally wedded (As they lived away for long) Apart from Marriage certificate, birth certificate of kids,Passport with Father's name and my travel history details.. I have seen posts here, people putting their chat history , call logs to show their relationship. is that required for married couple

Yes, you have to provide evidence of subsisting relationship with evidence of chats, visits, call logs etc.

I think yes you can but if the IHS gets increased before you submit the online application then you may have to pay the difference.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Hello Gurus,

thanks for the advices, IHS doesn't seem to have changed.

I have few more questions on this please

On online application

1. Reason for Visit - Settlement
2. Visa Type - Settlement
3. Visa Subtype - Wife

are these options correct.. i have got settlement through tier 2.

The options you have chosen are correct for a spouse settlement visa.
