indefinite leave to remain with multiple visa extension..tier2 General

Post by shreehari » Wed Feb 21, 2018 12:17 pm

Hi,
I am currently on Tier2 General (Shortage Occupation) category since jan 2014 and will be completing 5 year coming January (2019) . During this period , i will have continuously worked with the same employer with visa extension of every year on the same category (4 th extension until application).
My question is, am i still eligible for ilr application ..does it even matter how many times the visa was extended in the period of 5 years ?

I meet these requirements
1) salary threshold
2) continous period of living in uk for 5 years , in none of the year i have been out of country for more than 180 days.
3) permanent staff position at the company i am working currently.

Also,
do we also need to prove English language proficiency while application. ?...considering i had submitted ielts when i came to Uk first ..during extensions i never had to submit it.

Would highly appreciate your reply :)

Thanks,

Yes, if you meet all the requirements for ILR.
does it even matter how many times the visa was extended in the period of 5 years ?
No.
2) continous period of living in uk for 5 years , in none of the year i have been out of country for more than 180 days.
It is 180 days in ANY 12 month rolling period.

There is no specific Tier 2 ILR thread but there are many topics of individual members.

Read the form and guidance notes as well.

can she apply for ilr as well
No.
does she have to wait for another year ?
Yes
what will be her status ?
Assuming she has a PBS Dependent visa, she can remain on her current visa or extend it if required, until she meets the ILR requirements.

few questions about ilr application 2018 dec

Post by shreehari » Thu Apr 19, 2018 12:36 pm

Hi,
I had a few questions regarding applying ilr with 5 years route on tier2 coming end of the year .
Would be really appreciate your answer regarding this.

1) I will still have 9 months vaild visa left , when i complete 5 years and will be eligible to apply for ilr , does it cause any problem if i go for premium service ?

2) can i submit my expired ielts certificate which i used for the first entry clearence for english requirement ? I am planning to give Trinity B1 SELT-GESC Grade5 exam for it anyways ...hope that is sufficient ?

3) This might be a bit novice question , but for my last extension i had applied 5 weeks before my visa expiry date and visa was approved 3 weeks after my visa expiry date ...I hope this doesn't break any continuity of stay ?

4) Regarding the abscene letter from employer , does it need to specify only out of UK holidays or in country holiday as well ...Is there a limitation on how much in country holiday was taken in a year or during total of stay considering it was all paid annual leave ?

5) by the time i apply for ilr , i will only have P60 for 4 year as the latest P60 , would have yet to come for that current year , what p60 document , do i supply for the last year ?

6) do you need to submit any utility bills for ilr applications ?

Would really look forward for your answers :)

Thankyou,

Bank statements with credit card direct debits

Post by shreehari » Sat Oct 20, 2018 1:40 pm

Hi,
For my personal monthly expenses, i use credit card which i pay off by direct debit everymonth.
Do i need to submit the statement of both main account( salary account) and credit card statement s for the period of 3 months for ilr application.
In my main account it just mendtions the direct debit payments for credit card every months.
Do we need to submit all the expenses statements as well or is it just to check salary coming to the main account?
Also, can we take online e-statement s or it needs to be stamped by the bank ?
Please let me know :)

Thanks,

HO only want to see your salary payments. They are not interested in your expenses.

Online statements must be stamped by bank.

Tier 2 to ILR - documents

Post by shreehari » Thu Nov 15, 2018 1:49 pm

Hi,
Regarding this question on the setO online application ...does a spot fine like litter charge needs to be mentioned ?
At any time have you ever had any of the following,
A caution, warning, reprimand or other penalty
I had paid a fine of 80 gbp for litter charges to a council around 1.5 years back , which i paid off immediately and there was no letter or anything issued after ward. In my last visa extension , i had mentioned no because i wasn't sure about it, but it was approved .
Should i be mentioning that in my upcoming ilr application ?
Would really appreciate the answer.
Thanks,

This is required only if you are applying ilr based on Tier 2 plus other work permits like Tier1. This will not be required if you are applying 5 yeears Tier 2 only.

1. Fine.

2. Online statements are usually disregarded and not accepted if not stamped by bank, or have a letter of authentication from bank or are not originals.
