Switch from Workpermit to HSMP / Tier 1

Hi,

I currently working in UK under Work Permit Category. My work permit is for four years. Am planning to apply for HSMP / Tier 1 under new format. Question is - Will Home office notify my current employer when i switch my visa from Work Permit to HSMP / Tier 1 by notifying the cancellation of work permit visa ?

Appreciate your reply, as i need to make decision at the earliest.

NO. They won't call your employer. More over its the responsibility of employer to cancel your WP from HO.
