Tier 2 (Gen) - PBS Dependent Child absence limit for ILR

Dear Experts,

Question: Does the 180 days absence limit apply for Tier 2 (Gen) - PBS Dependent Children when applying for ILR?

According to https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... #pt8family, it looks like it does apply only for Partners but not for Children.

I am asking this because we were planning to send our son to his grandparents for about year.
