Using new services (ukvcas) while awaiting for the decision on tier 1 entrepreneur ext .

Post by wrongtime17 » Wed Dec 26, 2018 12:09 am

Hello, experts merry Christmas to all,

I have questions on using the new services while waiting for the decision on the application from the home office.
I am eligible to apply for ilr on 10 years route from 1st January 2019 onwards.

to apply for ilr

1.can I apply by using SET(LR) form online only or post?
2.can I use the new service (sopra-steria UKVCAS)?
3. Recently I saw that I must submit my application online only(is it true) if I submit online only what will happen to my application (without my passport)?
4.if I submit online can I give biometrics at the new center(they are asking for the passport) or at the post office?
5. Do I need to post my application like old days still(with covering letter)?
6.i lost my passport which I traveled to the UK and I only got the latest one which is currently with the home office.

please guide me so I can pick the right path, Many thanks in advance and wish you all a happy new year.
Many thanks in advance

Read on varying leave. Figure ur 10 year stay in UK. Do you meet all the requirements? Do you have dependants?
Read this to start off with:

indefinite-leave-to-remain/vary-entrepr ... 47670.html
Revert back once you have some clarity..

No you can't. There is also no longer a 'premium service same day decision' service any more.

hi cr001,
yes, I agree with you that we are not allowed to use premium service centers because they are closed.
I am referring here to use priority service at the new system.
please let me know if anyone came through it.

best regards

Yes! There is a whole thread on it if you care to search the forum.
In their experience some have received decision in a few days time not necessarily 24 hours..
You could give it a try and share ur experience with the rest.

Well probably ur not reading between the lines and applying it to your situation.
1. Varying tier 1 leave to ILR
2. Applying for priority
I did mention a link.
You could read gov.uk guidance on varying leave.
You really need to read first and ask questions instead of wanting ur hand to be held as none of us have ur past history in front of us.
Ur situation is not a very big deal unless you have a complex situation running for ur tier1 that may impact ur ILR.
So many people on this forum have varied their applications to LR.
And yes you can use priority service.

hi Aman,
Thanks for the help.

finally, I have applied(varied my application) for the set(LR) long residence application on 15 th January 2019.by using super premium service at Birmingham, until now I haven't heard anything from them except an acknowledgment letter dated back 16th January 2019.

until now from January I phoned a number of times but they said "under process" do I need to do anything?

I have referred the forum for timelines, but none of them have this situation like varied applications timeline.

when I varied my application do they still consider my previous applications for verification.

why are they taken this long?

any answers are helpful

thanks in advance

Great! Let’s hope for the best!

until now from January I phoned a number of times but they said "under process" do I need to do anything?

No. Don’t bother till it crosses 6 months.

I have referred the forum for timelines, but none of them have this situation like varied applications timeline.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen people varying to LR and receiving answers soon after.

when I varied my application do they still consider my previous applications for verification.

ApplicationS?
They aren’t gonna assess the previous application as the new takes precedence. They would probably check whether you stuck to the terms of Ur previous visa conditions..

why are they taken this long?

I can’t say for sure as it could be for any number of reasons. Back log. Verification checks. HMRC. NHS. Police..Good character checks etc.
Although you can apply for super priority, the guidance also advises not apply for it if you have a particularly complex case. Tier 1 is a complex route and applicants do buy time by applying for various visas to reach 10 years..You may not feel you have a complex case but that’s doesn’t mean much..as they have a job to do. Some caseworkers may be more careful in their assessment.

any answers are helpful.

Be positive and pray :) you could probably request the 24 hr decision fee back. You could also check ur right to work in the UK off and on. If ur status changes then you’ve got the approval.

thanks in advance

Some new members are unable to search when logged in for some reason. We don't know why. It usually resolves after about 30 posts.

I requested my mp to contact home office regarding my application still no response from them it's more than 4 weeks.

Hi Aman,
The Employement check link I have used it in the past about 6 weeks back .
They replied me they don't need one of this check for me as I am a self employed.
The home office emailed back saying you don't need one . That means I am on the tier1 entrepreneur still, and not allowed to work
For anybody.

If you’ve received the refund then ur application has finally been processed for consideration. I think you’ll hear something very soon.
