Schengen visa for France

Hi Experts,

I am planning to apply schengen visa for france. On the supporting documents page it says

Purpose of travel/stay
Proof of travel. A confirmed return ticket to France (plane, ferry, bus, etc…)

Reservation confirmation of an organised trip or any other document describing the planned programme

My questions are Do I have to book a confirmed return ticket to France even I do know if i will get the visa or not?
Has anyone recently applied the the France Schengen visa ?

Your previous posts suggest you hold a tier 2 visa.

If that is the case then yes, you have to have a booked trip/itinerary and submit evidence.

Sorry I forget to mention yes I do hold tier 2 visa.

So you mean I just need an itinerary not a confirmed return ticket.Is that correct ?
