HSMP extension question

Hello, guys

I heard someone said that home office posted a notice that the extension application should be handed in two months before the expire date of the entry clearence. Is that true?
My expire date is 20th March, should I hand in my application form before 20th January?

Currently it shows 13 weeks processing time for LR applications. But guys here on this board have reported a 2 months period.

I'm also going to apply before 2 months of expiry of my HSMP 1 yr period.

But if you r ready with your application then you can apply earlier.

Hey ... my expiry date is 19th March just one day b4 yours ...

i sent my application on 7th Jan. ... just to be sure that it gets there in time and they return it in time.
