Upon researching on the CCA 2000 i have a question, this is for a friend of mine.
My friend's mother became a USC when he was aged 8 or 9 (through marriage to a USC) my friend was 17 at the time the ACT came into force (he is now 24 going on 25), he has never left the country ever since coming here, that means he has deravative or acquired U.S citizenship through his mother?????
the point is he was STILL UNDER THE AGE OF 18 when the act came out, so he is eligable!!! is this right or wrong??
so what now, he wants to apply for a u.s passport IN PERSON BUT HE IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE, he wants a u.s passport to prove his citizenhip, what documents are required???
mothers marriage certificate to USC
mothers proof of citizenship (she has a US passport)
my friends long birth certifcate
he has a state ID card and drivers license
WHAT ELSE IS REQUIRED.
please advise.,
thank you
