Sent email request as well on 13, 14 & 17 December 2018
First reminder request 14 December 2018
2nd reminder request on 18 December 2018
Passport and BRP received: 18 December 2018 (request processed on 13 December 2018, also mentioned in the letter do not send passport back unless requested so.)

Date on Approval letter: “Refused” 2 Jan. 2019
Date of receipt of approval: “Refused” 7 Jan. 2019

Reason for refusal:
I was drunk sitting in a car’s passenger seat. Driver had learner license. Police took both of ours breath reading however, my breath reading was above limit (57) so I was considered as in charge of vehicle.
Magistrate court fined me and also gave 10 points on my license. Considering this case, Home office given me date to reapply after 3 years from the date of conviction.

Is there any possibility I should send reconsideration as I have only one conviction during last 1 year and also the only one in my life time.

Members help will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Did you disclose the penalty/conviction?
Reconsideration is normally about errors in the law applied by UKVI.
If you didn't disclose theymay have taken this against "Good Character".
I leave it to other to comment further.

Its not an error that you can apply for reconsideration. I'd say wait until three year are passed. BTW I don't understand why did you get the fine? I mean you were in passenger's seat?

The only full licence holder while a provisional licence holder was driving. Guilty by association, wrong place wrong time etc.

Absolutely right. You can't use a mobile phone either.
