One Very Quick WP Stamp Question - What does MULT mean?

Post by redshift » Fri Jun 06, 2008 11:32 am

Hi all,

One very quick question. I recently got EC for a 5 year WP and on my visa stamp in the passport, it says the following:

Number of entries: MULT

Does this mean this is a Multiple Entry Work Permit (MEWP), or a regular WP with multiple entries within the validity period? Because i DON'T want an MWEP!

Thanks in advance.

It means that you can leave the country and re-enter it during the validity of the visa (i.e. valid for multiple entries).

Not sure if this is a question or not. It simply means that a holder of this permit can leave the UK and return, within the validity of the visa, and be re-admitted to continue living and working in the UK. I guess that, occasionally, airline check-in staff might not be aware of this and wonder if the holder would be re-admitted, but that is what it means.

Christophe.
I agree to what you says, I had same experaince with my friend, who has got same stemp on his visa.

There has diffrent experiacnes that people has, mainly due to lack of knowledge of staff at air port.
