registering child as british citizen expired BRP

Post by veei » Mon Feb 11, 2019 3:11 pm

my partner and i applied for ILR (Tier 2, 5 year route) on the 16th of January and got a biometric appointment on the 26th of January (super priority service) we are yet to hear back. we have called UKVI and sent an email to our MP not reply yet.
Our children 5 and 7 born in the Uk are due for registering as British citizen once we receive our decision, however all our BRPs are due to expire on the 20th of February 2019.
i am wondering if we don't get a decision before 20th of February would this have any negative impact on our boys immigration history.
thanks in advance
