ILR in process and current visa is expired

Hi,

I will be completing 5 years route under Tier 2 visa on 4th March 2019 but my current tier 2 general visa is expiring on 15th Feb 2019.

I applied for ILR using 28 days grace period and booked priority service. But the date I got is of 22nd Feb 2019 for biometrics. Will there be any issue since the biometrics date is after visa expiry.

Also applying for ILR was the right option in this case, since my visa will expire 17 days before completion of 5 years period.

I thought it was ok but one guy told me that I will be refused. Can anyone please advise here?

Date of application is the date you submit and pay online.

So, even if my current visa expires during biometrics I should fine, right? Since I made the application before the expiry of the visa.

Just spoke with UKVCAS, they told me that application is the date when you submit and pay online. Thanks for the help.

As long as you applied within 28 days of ILR continuous completion period and before the expiry of of ur current visa.. there is nothing to fear!
In time applications are covered by section 3C leave..
