ILR application Bank statement

Hello,
I'm due to apply for my ILR application.

Regarding bank statement, how many months bank statement is required?
I have few negative balances in my account (in the past), will this have a negative impact on my application please?

Tier 2 to ILR requires a minimum of 1 month payslip and 1 month bank statement.

HO is not interested in what you spend your money on, they only want to see your salary.

Also, If i get my ILR and then claim 30 hours of Childcare benefit (which is use of public funds) and later if I apply for my Wife's ILR application, will this be an issue during her application please.

As I was going through the ILR dependant guidelines and found this:

When you apply for settlement, you and your partner must:
- be living together in your own accommodation
-not be using public funds

As long as it is under your name it is ok as you are allowed to have access to public funds with ILR

I'm due to apply for my ILR next week and my previous employer isn't willing to provide me with an absence letter for 20 days which I was on anuual leave and travelled outside of UK.

1. Could you please help what is the document I can provide instead please.
2. If justification letter format content please.

If it is less than 30 days per year, you can omit the letter
