Registering my son as british citizen

Hi guys,

I have to apply for my son's registration as a british citizen under S1(3).
From MN1 guide, I understand that I'll have to fill only sections 1, 5,6 and 7 for an application under S1(3). Can you please tell if my understanding is correct.

My son is two years old and I am not clear if I need to fill SECTION 5 (referees) for him or not?

I'll be grateful for your help.
