EEA Family Permit followed by Residence Card UK

Post by askforjain99 » Wed Mar 13, 2019 5:04 pm

Hello Board,

Can someone please guide / share experience on below matter?

I am an Indian national and my husband British national. My husband currently working in Ireland.

I have applied EEA family permit UK from Ireland under Surinder Singh route [Spouse of a British national].

Permit granted as follow

Type: D – EEA FP: Family Member to acc XXXX XXXX

Valid From: 27 February 2019 to 27 August 2019 [6M]

As my husband got new job back in the UK starting from 1st week of May we are moving back to the UK in May.

To stay after 27 August 2019 in the UK I need to apply Residence Card of UK.

So my queries:

How long before I can apply Residence Card [like month / week]?

Which form do I need to fill EEA (FM) or EEA (QP)? As per my understanding, I need to fill EEA (FM) form; can someone please correct me if I am wrong? SO CONFUSED.

I can’t see online option for EEA (FM). Do I need to fill hard copy form and send it to Durham?

Hello askforjain99,

Apologies in advance for asking a question off topic.

When you applied for an EEA Family Permitt from Ireland, did you had to provide some sort of proof of accomodation like where you will going to live in the UK once you land there, or you didn't attach such evidence in the EEA FM Application.

Thanks and apologies for asking this question off track

Hi,

I have attached proof of accommodation. My cousin is living in the UK so got letter from him (no objection letter).

Thanks
