Maintenance funds under Tier1

Post by apply4hsmp » Mon Jun 16, 2008 4:03 pm

I will be applying soon under tier1 for extension of my existing two year HSMP. I am not clear about maintenance funds.

If I make one application with my two dependents, do I have to show (only) £800 for three consecutive months before application ?
does this include funds for dependents as well ?

Or I have to show separately for dependents as described here ?
http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... ntoffunds/
Since have been here on HSMP for more than 12 months do I have to show 533 for each dependent or is this the figure only when dependents apply separately ?

tier1dependantsguidance.pdf -
32. If the same main applicant and his family had been
present in the UK for two years, they would require
evidence that they held £2399 (£533 x 3 = £1599 + £800) in
available funds.

in your case -
(533 * 2) + 800 = 1866 GBP over 3 months time.

i think if you are applying from the UK and before 29 june you dont have to show the funds for 3 months. if it is there at the time of application then that should be okay. Look for transitional arrangements

and the duration of stay in the UK is more or less than 12 months and not 2 years

can the funds be in a savings account ? which is linked with the current account ? where I get the salary

I just want to separate them and keep that as minimum balance.
