Dependent Visa : need immediate help please.

Post by rathore.pallavi » Mon Jun 16, 2008 6:45 pm

I am planning to submit the below documents for applying the dependant visa at MUMBAI VFS this week. My spouse is just 20 days old in UK. He is yet to get an apartment there. Is it necessary to produce House agreement copy, council tax, utility bills along with my application?

Are the following docs sufficient or we need more according to Tier1 requirements? Taken it from Paul’s blogspot-

Applicant's Passport
Duly filled VAF2 Visa application form
1 photograph of the applicant (Photo Specification)
Sponsor letter. (can be given by primary applicant)
Proof of assets.
All stamped pages of the primary applicant
Proof of Accomodation (Details of accomodation document)
Copy of HSMP approval letter.
A fee of INR 16000

If the dependant is spouse of primary applicant...
Original Marriage Certificate.
Marriage photos.
6 months bank statements of the applicant - optional
6 months payslips of the applicant - optional
Original tax papers of 2 years of the applicant - optional (Sample Copy)
Proof of asset /CA Certificate (Details are here) - optional

Please help.

No offence, but if you are expecting someone to come up with one-stop-shop list for you, it is probably not going to happen. More so, when it has been already suggested to you earlier to read through the discussions currently going on related to dependent applications.

It seems you do not want to make an effort to search the forum for answers, but want others to make the effort for you.

Don't take it to heart but you need to do some groundwork on your own. Check the VFS website for information regarding application forms, fees and supporting documentation for dependent applications. Search the forum for loads of information already available on the topic.

Duplicate posts are not going to get you immediate responses.

Duly filled VAF2 Visa application form
VAF2 is not the appropriate form for Tier 1 dependents. The actual form as rightly pointed by sushdmehta can be found on http://www.vfs-uk-in.com/pbsguidance.aspx.

Here are the links for you:
Form: http://www.vfs-uk-in.com/images/PBS%20D ... 0VAF10.pdf

Guidance notes: http://www.vfs-uk-in.com/images/VAF10%2 ... 0notes.pdf

More information about required documents can be found in above guidance notes.

Not Vaf2, VAF10
I applied for dependent visa last week, used VaF 10.

Maintenance of funds are very important and your spouse employment offer letter and pay stubs also required along with accommodation proofs.

For few very intelligent persons on the board

If u want, give suggestion politely not harsh.

People may hurry/worry about their situation and immediately post their doubts without searching for similar posts, that is understandable.

If u have suitable answer or suggestion then reply, why unnecessary u command them/or think u only have the brain.

No one is perfect.

Because there is a *reasonable expection* from all the members seeking help on this forum to do some basic groundwork before posting their queries, and more importantly, to help maintain the decorum of this forum.

A major group of users on the forum visit this forum only in the time of need and go away either never to return or come back when they need help next time. There is a small group of people, on the other hand, who stay back even after their worries are over, in an effort to help the *majority group* - people like you. This minority group answers similar queries time and again, and sometimes it is very frustrating to see people wanting to immigrate as highly skilled professionals not bothering to make an effort to look for answers that might already be available, not wanting to read the publicly available official guidances, and just wanting to be spoon-fed and get ready-made answers.

If you feel that it is understandable for anyone to come and post queries without the need to do any self-effort, then you should equally appreciate the predicament and frustration of people who answer the same queries hundreds of time.

More often than not, one comes across emotionally driven or rage induced rambling from people because someone asked them to make an effort to help themselves rather than providing them with a ready-made one-stop-shop answer to their queries.

It is human tendency to sympathize with people in circumstances similar to yours and it is natural instinct to defend their actions (after all, you are also in the same situation, right). But why is it so difficult to understand the essence that lies underneath a strong-worded message and why is it so difficult for people likeyou to take criticism with a positive frame of mind??
Like you say, no one is perfect!!
