Hello Hope all are good .
I need suggestions or advice on very important thing .
I was married to British citizen 9 years ago and we got separated 5 years ago .I hold since Indefinite remain to leave status .
I wanted to remarry but my partner is overstayed on his visa .
Question 1 Shall I apply for British citizen then marry him ?
Question 2 Shall we do religious ceremony here and apply from india with my ILR status ?

Please suggest the best advice

1. Are you divorced and have evidence of the decree absolute? It makes no difference if you are British or hold ILR for a partner visa.

2. When you say "religious ceremony, do you mean an Islamic wedding?? What was your partners last visa and UK immigration history? How long has he been in the UK?
