ILR & benefits

Post by MMARCUS » Wed Mar 20, 2019 9:42 pm

Hello,
Just a quick enquiry please , Can I apply for Universal tax credit as I have ILR but my wife is on tier 2 dependent visa . when I apply they asked us to make a joint application as she is my wife and we live together but the point is : does that affect her as it is mentioned no public funds in her residence permit ?

Thanks a lot for your help

I don't know. It might be better to ask the CAB as they know the immigration laws and about Universal Credit.

That's because you can't claim as a single person when you have a partner.
