What happen if BC is refused?

Just wondering what happen if the British citizenship application has been refused. Can you still remain in the country with ILR or your ILR is automatically cancelled?

You continue to hold ILR unless the BC application has been refused due to deception in your ILR application being uncovered.
(Casa, not CR001)
