EEA permanent resident card

Post by cvadesign » Thu Apr 04, 2019 2:03 pm

Hi,

I have a current situation as my EEA permanent resident card is going to expire in 2021. It's like a sticker being stamp on my Thai passport and I don't even have the Biometric card which I don't even know what that is. My PRC lasts for 10 years and I wouldn't be too sure what I have to do afterward. Can someone explain to me why some company's won't allow someone who holds a PRC to work because its not a Biometric cards?

My mum is now an Irish citizenship, my sisters are Irish too. Wouldnt I be eligible for the British citizenship if my whole family are Irish ?

If you are over 18, have held PR for a minimum of 12 months and have passed the English B1 test and Life in the UK test, you are free to apply for British citizenship.

I note (for other members benefit) that you have also posted elsewhere asking about Irish citizenship, which you would also have to apply for in the normal way, i.e. naturalisation.
