ILR - 10 Years Long Residency

Post by asmith » Sat May 04, 2019 9:45 am

Hi There,

Continuous resident in the UK for 8 Years 6 months.
Visa curtailed to 60 days, applied for new entry clearance (out-of-UK as switch is not possible within the UK) within curtailment period and entered the UK back before the curtailment date.

Was away from the UK for 20 days whilst trying to secure a new entry clearance within curtailment period.

Will this effect my ILR eligibility please?

Thanks

What is your full UK immigration history?

Why were you not able to applying within the UK?

What was the reason for curtailment?

What was the end date your previous visa was curtailed to?

What date did you leave the UK and what date did you return (exact dates)?

Presumably you are asking about ILR based on Long Residence??

ILR - 10 Years Long Residency

Post by asmith » Thu Mar 19, 2020 5:02 pm

Visa Granted: 1 September 2010
Date of Entry: 22 September 2010

Quick question below:
1. Can I apply for my ILR (10 years long residency) from 1 September 2010?
2. Can I apply 28 days before 1 September 2010?

Thanks

The 10 years is counted from your first entry to the UK in 2010. The 28 days concession applies to anyone applying for ILR

READ the announcements made by UKVI on long term visas. We posted these on top of the forum :!: :!:

Thanks not sure if it does answer my question. My question was how can I extend my stay (Tier 2 currently) if the circumstances do change. I can apply for ILR in August (4 months to go), can I use "Apply to Extend"? Thanks

You need a tier 2 sponsor and job to extend it apply for a change of employment tier 2 visa.
