Visa Question - Limited Leave

Post by bigviv » Tue Jul 01, 2008 3:52 pm

hello all

my wife's domestic worker from India has managed to get her visa approved etc and i was curious as to one thing written on it:

"Limited leave to enter the UK. No recourse to public funds. Changes must be authorised".

any help as to what the "limited leave to enter the uk" actually means?

all info given appreciated (if relevant! :) )

Means her right to remain in the UK is not permanent.

It seems the visa was refused earlier (as mentioned here). It will help others if you could share how you managed to convince the ECO this time around (through appeal or fresh application).

Thanks in advance.
