ILR premium processing times after T1E - Straw Poll

Post by James.Dunlop » Mon Jun 03, 2019 7:11 am

If you have applied for ILR based on T1E residence following a successful initial T1e extension at the 3yr point (ie where 'genuineness', investment & job creation, has already been assessed rigorously)

a) Have you had your case processed within the PEO / premium service period (c24hr turnaround) you have paid for

b) If the Home Office have taken the case in due to 'complexity', how long has processing taken, and was it eventually successful

This straw poll is conducted in advance of a review to assess the scale of what seems to be an issue

The old same day decision premium service and the new super priority service is not available to tier 1 entrepreneur extensions or tier 1 entrepreneur ILR routes.

Applicants can only use standard service, which takes between 3 and 12 months, sometimes much longer, based on members experience.

By the nature of the T1E route, each individual is assessed on its own. It is quite futile to try and make any estimates based on cases reported here. I got my ILR in about 8/10 weeks and there are others who have got it in that time range. While others have been waiting for over 15 months.

Just focus on your own application, be precise, make sure you have all the documents in place and it should go well

it details
How to apply

You must apply online. You’ll be told whether your application has been successful within 6 months.

You can get a decision within 1 working day if you pay extra to use the super priority service.

You’ll be contacted if your application is complex and will take longer, for example:

if your supporting documents need to be verified
if you need to attend an interview
because of your personal circumstances, for example if you have a criminal conviction
So the 1 day super priority service is open. BUT this is academic if in practice almost all applications are deemed 'complex' and so 'take longer'.

I was interested to see what proportion of applications are not deemed 'complex'

Thank you. That is helpful. Can you possibly clarify
a) If you paid for the super priority service (or the old PEO service)
b) When you had your success

As other already pointed out, the premium service is not and never has been available to Tier 1E route applicants.

b) When you had your success
a) I used the normal process - a postal application
b) This was early 2017. I applied 1st week of March and was approved 1st week of May.
